12 and 13 december 2009 – UP and Down in the Beautiful Country
Final result: 1st place multioperator station Top Score 744224 points!
If the Contest of Sections 2009,
We had the classic "Good Vibrations" (accomplice summer
incipient?), with the Italian Contest, with the 40-80 Contest the
vibrations were
transformed into rock-and-roll.
Right from the very first we knew that the outcome would
could be "important" awareness that resulted in
night between Saturday and Sunday, when the night owls shift were
virtually brought home the highest possible multipliers. Data
from the previous edition in hand, despite a number of QSO not
stratospheric, working on the provinces and minimizing time to switch
between bands and different ways we have achieved a respectable place
(apart from luck, HIAnd plus a final score very "round" and heavy that
could mark the shift to the far upper reaches of the standings.
Working on the three operating modes, there was really room for all:
by graphic designers, the aficionados of digital, the masochists uvula.
For some it was the consecration after the wonderful experience
gained during the CQWW SSB on past October, for others a way to learn
new techniques and develop the patience to search for "The Missing
one", the evanescent multiplier able to scramble up the score.
A synchronized team effort that is associated with strategic choices
just right after all the close-knit group and has opened a fruitful
discussion further optimization of the station.
Everything worked perfectly well from the software side: QARtest
has proved very reliable and powerful, even in its
"Lightness". The master that Paolo IK3QAR has put into circulation a few
days before the contest has facilitated the management of the location from
operators entering the QSO with very few errors
in the provinces made logs.
To be sure not to miss any case we have involved Paolo,
who was added to the group of operators for the groped
bang as IK3MAS. After beating the competition from the area
4 for a couple of issues like SOP and paying a high price for
tag of the loan with "right of ransom" to Codruzziani
(IR4M), its competent presence has encouraged everyone to believe there
search for the optimal operational practice, both CW and SSB.
We sincerely hope that has spent some enjoyable hours of radio!
Food always good and plentiful thanks to Luigi I3VUK, cook a thousand
resources: boiled and "peverada" in a post-contest, to the delight of
children and adults. Not to mention the constant support during and
before the contest. If ever result will be, we owe to the excellent
state of health food team!
